We received some devastating news about one of our beloved team members a few weeks ago. Sadie, one of our Waxxers, was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.

Who is Sadie, and why should you help her? Sadie is an unbelievable woman, a ball of energy and exuberance, a wonderful mother and wife, an amazing employee, a kind and loving Esthetician, a cherished friend, and the daughter of a breast cancer survivor. When Sadie told us that she had cancer, we were stunned and heartbroken. Sadie? It almost seems impossible that such a force to be reckoned with could fall victim to such an insidious disease. Sadie said when she found out: “Cancer is so prevalent in my family. I always knew I would get it. I just didn’t know it would be when I was 36.”

Sadie is wife to Mikey and the mother to 2 beautiful daughters, Irelynd, 12 and Sam, 10. Our wish is for Sadie to be able to spend the next 6 months focusing on getting healthy through the aggressive rounds of chemotherapy and radiation and her double mastectomy. All donations will go to covering her hefty medical expenses.

Thank you for your time and your generosity. To know Sadie is to love her. Her smile is quick and contagious. Her heart is huge and pure. Her energy is unmatched. If anyone can kick cancer’s butt, it’s Sadie.

So, how can you help to support Sadie?

  • Visit and share Sadie’s page on www.youcaring.com.  It is so easy to share this crowd funding page on your twitter or Facebook feeds!
  • Come visit Urban Waxx on October 11, 2016! It is Sadie Day, and all proceeds from all locations will go to Sadie and cancer research.
  • Visit your local Urban Waxx from now until October 31 to purchase a raffle ticket. There will be 2 winners announced. One will win $720 for a year of Brazilians (or anything else you would like to spend it on) and the other winner will win a year of brows! All proceeds will go directly to Sadie!

Thank you for your support. The Urban Waxx 6th Core Value is “We are Family” and this is a time when Sadie really needs her Urban Waxx family to rally around her!

I am a long-time client of Sadie and this saddens me greatly. It is great that she is getting the help/support she needs. She is a special lady and is a warrior!

I too am a breast-cancer survivor for which we have discussed on occasion, however, her situation is so much more serious.

This disease will affect/effect her and her support team. Wishing her the best of care and peace/courage for her and her family during this difficult time.
