My wonderful friends-
Writing this post is bittersweet for me. My last 5 1/2 years as a Waxxer and Coordinator of the Urban Waxx Philanthropic Task Force have been absolutely wonderful for me. I have collected so many wonderful memories. But it is now time to begin my next adventure.
Ob February 8, I am off to fulfill a life-long dream of traveling through Central America. The plan is to be gone 6 months, but I may be gone longer……….. who knows! I’m hoping for a little adventure and I’m excited to find out what the future has in store for me!
I am immensely proud to have been a part of this group of women (and one man) who are constantly striving to offer our guests and each other the best service imaginable. You have never rested on ‘good enough’ and have never taken the patronage of our clients for granted. Always striving to be the best, you are a company of intelligent, thoughtful and hilarious individuals
As coordinator of the Philanthropic Task Force, I have had the pleasure of organizing a blood drive, several holiday gift drives, and a 24 hour Waxx-a-Thon. With your help and generosity we raised money for organizations such as The Bradley Angle House for Women and Children, Friends of Trees, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and even enough to fund an entire fresh water well to be built in a community in desperate need of clean water.
To say I am proud of The Task Force is an understatement. I thank all of the Task Force members, and every one of you who helped, from the bottom of my heart. I had so much fun and we did so much good!
I want to give a very special thank you to my philanthropic partner in crime, Angie, without whom we could never have accomplished what we did. This dynamic, intelligent woman has incredible heart and it has been an honor to work alongside her. She has kept me focused and kept me steady and I love her so much.
I’m passing on my Task Force coordination duties to my two awesome co-workers, Sara and Kelly, and I can’t wait to hear about what they will accomplish in the future!
I know I speak for everyone at Urban Waxx when I give an enormous thank you to our clients. We come to work every day excited to see you; you are constantly teaching us new things, telling us funny stories and making us laugh, and inspiring us to do better and be better. It is because of you that all of us are able to fulfill our dreams. Thank you so very much.
My last thank you goes to Shannon. Your goodness towards me has been vast and what I have learned from you is immeasurable.
You have built something beautiful here, and I hope I can, in some way, be a part of it forever.
Tu amiga siempre,
Adriana
